How can we apply meditation in busy life?

Now I know most of you have a very busy life and your schedule is also very busy, but at the same time you want to meditation ,so this is where you see the problem, okay, your life is busy and you are worried about it, your mind is distracted and we all get distracted, when our life is busy, but we all need to meditate,

How can we apply meditation in busy life

but there is a problem, what is that, how can we apply meditation in this busy schedule, okay, it is very difficult, many people complain to us that I cannot meditate because I am very busy, I have a lot of work to do, I have a lot of responsibilities, how can I deal with this, it depends on how you look at meditation, when we imagine the word meditation, what picture do we imagine, we imagine a person who is sitting in a quiet and comfortable place and he is meditating.

His eyes are crossed with his legs and he is meditating okay but meditation is not just sitting it is also a part of meditation but it is not meditation okay meditation is much easier and practical than you think so today I am going to introduce you to a small practice that you can practice in your busy schedule while you have a lot of responsibilities and when you are busy and you can do this meditation,

it is all about mindfulness now should we sit in a quiet place for mindfulness no okay for mindfulness you can be in any posture you want to do and you can still have mindfulness that is the beauty of this practice mindfulness practice okay now let’s say you have a busy schedule and you don’t have time to sit and meditate

so what we have to do is we can choose something that we do daily okay let’s say almost all of you eat two meals a day at least two meals a day
Okay, let’s have breakfast Let’s say you are having your breakfast, okay, normal So, on an average day,

what do you do while having breakfast?

 Sometimes you read the newspaper, sometimes you watch TV, sometimes you scroll through social media, sometimes you use the mobile, sometimes you call some friends, well, instead of doing all those things, well, instead of distracting yourself while having breakfast, why can’t you be conscious about the act of eating while having breakfast? Well, that’s the beauty of mindfulness,

mindfulness can be applied to every action in our daily life, no matter where we do it, no matter what we do it, no matter when we do it, we can apply mindfulness in our daily life, so let’s say you are having breakfast, okay, just keep aside all the distracting actions, like your TV, maybe your mobile phone, your newspaper, you just focus on the taste, okay,

when you are eating with your hand or you are eating with your spoon or cog, it doesn’t matter, you just feel the taste, when you put the food in your mouth, you start feeling this taste, what we can do is to take our mind to the sensation that we feel okay and do it one by one, okay, one step by one, let’s say you ate one bite at a time and you became aware of it, you felt the taste, okay, because

 most of the time when we are eating, we are not thinking about this taste You know, okay, our mind runs here and there and gets caught up in one or the other thoughts and it gets distracted so what we can do is we can bring our mind back to this taste and this sensation which we feel in the present moment when you eat you feel the taste in the present moment once you feel it,

 once you recognize it, and once you focus your mind on it, this is what you call mindfulness this is what you call meditation okay so this is a simple practice choose one meal every day maybe lunch maybe dinner maybe breakfast choose one food and just focus on eating okay eat while eating don’t use mobile phone while eating don’t watch TV while eating don’t use other distractions while eating because when we distract ourselves we lose the chance to practice meditation in daily life ,

one day a lady came to me and when we were discussing I asked her do you meditate she said no I don’t have time to meditate Then I started this little practice of mindful eating then you can’t complain that you don’t have time to meditate remember meditation is everywhere you can do it wherever you want whenever you want okay so add this little practice of mindful eating to your life and then you don’t have to worry about not having time to meditate because being mindful is meditation just keep this in your mind
